Less And More Coffee Information

Walking up to Less And More Coffee at 1003 SW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97204, United States, you immediately get that cozy, West Coast cafe vibe that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. It’s one of those spots tucked into the downtown rhythm where locals nudge you toward the regulars’ table with a nod and a smile. The location is perfect for grabbing a cup before work, meeting friends for a midday break, or lingering over an afternoon pastry while watching the world go by.

The moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly ground beans wraps around you like a warm blanket. The baristas move with confident ease, chatting about the day’s single‑origin espresso or suggesting a new seasonal blend with genuine enthusiasm. It’s clear from the way the staff talks about the beans and their roasting process that this place takes its coffee seriously, without ever feeling pretentious. Their pour‑overs are some of the smoothest I’ve had in town, with bright, nuanced flavors that change ever so slightly depending on the roast of the week.

The menu strikes a thoughtful balance between classic favorites and creative twists. Alongside the rich lattes and cortados, you’ll find cold brews that are perfectly refreshing on a sunny Portland afternoon, and an espresso that hits just right if you need a pick‑me‑up. Their house‑made pastries, flaky and fresh, pair beautifully with any drink you choose - the almond croissant was a highlight for me, with just the right hint of sweetness to complement the coffee’s robust character.

Atmosphere here feels laid‑back but intentional. The seating is a mix of small tables and cozy nooks, great for both solo laptop sessions and light, animated conversation with a friend. Sunlight streams through the front windows during the day, giving the whole place a kind of gentle glow that makes you forget you’re in the heart of a bustling city. Reviews often mention the friendly service, and that’s exactly what you’ll find - staff eager to make your visit enjoyable, ready with recommendations yet always respectful of your space.

In a city known for its coffee culture, this diner‑style cafe holds its own by offering consistently great brews, a welcoming vibe, and a menu that feels both comforting and thoughtfully curated. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or just someone looking for a pleasant place to unwind, it’s worth a stop next time you’re exploring downtown Portland.

What People's Say About Place

This was the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life. I came to Oregon in August and have not been able to stop thinking about the tiramisu latte ever since. We came every morning to get coffee from here and the staff is very nice. I am sadly on the east coast but my girlfriend and I might fly back just to get this coffee again! I need the recipe lol

Fun coffee spot right on the bricks! Tiny, glass-walled converted transit shelter featuring retro transit infographics. The MAX trains will bustle by through the cooridor of gargantuan buildings. Great coffee and treats, easy to chat for a second with the expert baristas ansld simple seating along the ends outside.

Just can’t believe that I never took time to try coffee here. This place has always been on my list of places to try coffee. Finally made it here on a weekday morning and tried Ube latte and Maple Oat latte. Absolutely loved the Ube latte. It wasn’t too sweet and it has a subtle natural flavour of Ube. Couldn’t capture pictures since I was excited to try but it was made gorgeous. The maple oat latte was delicious too. Their house made syrups are no joke. Will definitely be back to try more on their menu.

I work in construction a block away and come here a couple times a week during my morning break for either a chai latte or ube latte. My coworkers love the Tiramisu latte. Everyone who works here is super friendly and makes an effort to get to know you. I sometimes get the pastries and they are great too. I think this place is reasonably priced for Portland. They have a rewards system too if you buy 7 drinks you get one free.

I’ve been coming here since their peak days and I’m still just as obsessed. Hands down, they have the best tiramisu latte in Portland. Every drink I’ve tried has been a hit: the ube latte, flat white, cloud cream latte, cortado, matcha, and the black sesame latte (another underrated gem!). You really can’t go wrong. They also offer a lovely selection of baked goods, perfect for pairing with your drink. There's always a line, and honestly, it's easy to see why. The quality, creativity, and consistency keep me coming back.

This is a cute shop with a curated coffee options . We had a cortado and a cloud cream coffee. Both were very tasty. They knew what they were doing. Definitely coming back

Oh my god! This place is the best to get a Tiramisu latte! We also got a hot Maple oat Latte which was a banger as well. Definitely worth all the reviews and more!

Jessica made me the best drink ever and we had some great chit chat! The whole team here is amazing and my favorite coffee is the enjoyme latte!
